If you are interested -
Call or email me with questions or to set up a free 20 minute consultation.
If you think you are interested, contact me and we can set up a time to talk and get to know more about one another. When working with younger students I generally speak, first, with parent/s to find out what you are looking for and to answer any initial questions you have about coaching. This is usually a short 20 minute information gathering chat. Then I like to make contact, at least briefly, with your child to hear their perspective. If you are an older high school student or college student, I'm happy to speak with you directly right from start. If, after talking, it makes sense to move forward, we can schedule an initial meeting. I don't charge any fees until the initial meeting.
Initial meetings can run longer than a typical coaching session - expect an hour to an hour and a half - and they are preferably in person. When I'm coaching a child, that initial meeting would include parent/s and child. I like to hear everyone's views on what they have observed and what they are looking for. Parents are an invaluable resource in understanding what's happening, and children, who are going to be doing the work, need to be a part of things from the beginning.
Regular Coaching sessions are typically 50 minutes once a week. Some students I can meet on their school campus, depending on distance and school policy. Otherwise, I meet local students at the Central Library and will reserve a room when possible. Students outside of the area, I'm happy to Skype, FaceTime or Zoom.
